 Writer, musician, filmmaker and Attorney, Rahel Kent is available to

the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival, Rahel brings 17 yrs. experience to the firm.  Her  background as  a writer and filmmaker is invaluable to her clients.  Her 1st film, "Santa's Camels",  has played at over 43 film festivals and has won awards around the world.   Through
her experience as a musician and producer,  she encountered the usual
myriad of bad deals, rip-offs, and almost  every problem associated with

Attorney Kent is a former L.A. County Public Defender with extensive experience in criminal cases from arraignment through trial & appeal.
After leaving the  Public Defender's  Office in 1992,  she  opened  her
own office doing  criminal defense and general legal services  from real estate, to business consulting, to contract negotiation and review.
  
 

 
 As Counsel for the L.A. Shorts Film Fest, Rahel handles contract review and negotiations, film rights, acquisitions, legal correspondence, and general guidance with legal business matters.  Having entered her 
own film in festivals around the world, Rahel is an expert on festival rules & regulations and is available to answer questions regarding any film fest.
