MISDEMEANORS

Many people have the preconceived
notion that being charged with a misdemeanor is "not a big deal"--That
this type of charge merely requires paying a fine. This couldn't be further
from the truth. If you have been charged with a misdemeanor crime
and a date has been scheduled for you to appear in court, I urge you obtain
professional legal counsel now. Some misdemeanor offenses can carry up
to a 2 year jail sentence, if convicted.
MISDEMEANOR CRIME
Animal Abuse
Drunk in Public
Environmental Violations (can be felony)
Loitering
Pandering
Property Crimes (can be felony)
Public Nuisance
Shoplifting
Trespassing
Vandalism (can be felony)
AUTOMOBILE OFFENSES
Parking Tickets & Towing
and most Moving Violations only require you to pay the required fine for
the offense. You may also have the option to attend a traffic school near
you or traffic school online. You may attend multiple times but only once
in any 12 month period. Traffic School is to eliminate 1 point on your
driver's license record which, in turn, keeps your auto insurance company
from increasing your policy rate.
The items listed below require a court appearance because they are more
serious in nature.
Exhibition
of Speed, Reckless Driving,
Open Container, Wet Reckless Driving, DUI, DWI,
Driving with a Suspended License
Driving
without a License
